We hope you will take a moment to explore the site and learn more about the Village Residents’ Association (VRA) and all that it offers. Through this web site you can view our bi-monthly newsletter, check on meeting dates and program descriptions, keep informed about upcoming community events, learn more about our historic preservation guidelines, find out how to join the association and who to contact for more information, and much, much more. We here in the village of Zionsville live in a rare paradise of small town charm and big town culture. It’s a town where your neighbor is more than just someone who happens to live next door, a town where the word community really means something. The quiet neighborhoods of the Village are filled with charming homes spanning an era from the Civil War to today. Residents take pride in their beautiful gardens and tidy yards. Our historic downtown brick Main Street is lined with diverse shops, galleries and restaurants. Residents and visitors alike take advantage of the many festivals and other events throughout the year. Autumn has arrived in the Village. The air is crisp, the brightly turning leaves swirl to the ground and crunch underfoot as you walk the quaint Village streets. What a perfect time to be a resident, or even just a visitor, in Zionsville. Though the days are growing shorter and the air a little cooler, there is still so much to see and appreciate here. Autumn in the Village is a time for enjoying the dwindling days of sunny blue skies and looking forward to the beauty of the coming winter. It’s a time for the old time, small town charm of trick or treaters going door to door on Halloween night. It’s a time for bundled up picnics in the park and raking bright piles of leaves to the street. As a local resident was recently heard to say, "Zionsville is perhaps the only place left in America where Norman Rockwell still lives." And as you look upon the Village of Zionsville in autumn, it seems a truer word was never spoken. Zionsville has been described as a “gem” an “undiscovered treasure” a “jewel.” By any name, the members of the VRA realize that no matter how you describe it – the village of Zionsville is priceless. It is a community that offers a way of life worth preserving. |
