Welcome handout
Thank you for attending this informational forum hosted by the Zionsville Village Residents' Association, the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library, and the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce.On January 4th, 2010, the Town of Zionsville officially reorganized to include Union and Eagle Townships, yet many citizens still have questions about the reorganization and what it means for the future regarding a number of subjects. This is not surprising, because reorganization was a big step and encompassed many issues.
Tonight's forum will focus primarily on land use planning. Please provide some feedback on this meeting and tell us if you would like us to sponsor any additional forums, and if so, what subjects you would like more information about.
Agenda for the Evening
- Jean Palmer Heck will serve as the forum's moderator, introducing two presenters and moderating a question-and-answer session.
- Brad Johnson will be our first speaker. Brad has degrees in urban planning and environmental design; he is the Principal Planner and President of Ground Rules, Inc., an urban planning firm, with over sixteen years of urban planning experience. He will speak on the subjects of land use planning and PUD ordinances.
- Jeff Kingsbury will be our second speaker. Jeff also has degrees in urban planning and design, and is a Managing Partner of Greenstreet Ltd. Jeff has twenty years of experience in the planning and development of urban, suburban, and rural and master planned communities. He will speak about alternative methods of land use planning.
- Q&A session will follow, to wrap up the evening.

The Plan Commission will give a recommendation to the Town Council on the PUD ordinance. This is a public meeting and all are welcome to attend and/or comment.

It's not known if the Council will discuss or vote on the PUD ordinance. This is a public meeting and all are welcome to attend and/or comment. The Council meets on the first Monday of each month.
