Winter

It’s winter in the Village, and though the groundhog promises us an early spring, the days are frigid and gray more often than not. We waken to frost to scrape and snow to shovel and days that are much too short....so what better time to take advantage of all the wonderful indoor events going on in the Village?

This is a perfect time to grab those after holiday bargains at any number of Village shops. Or take time to explore the ever growing variety of art galleries throughout the town. It may seem that spring will never come, but there is always something blooming on the canvases of our very talented local artists.

In this exhibit, which features dolls from our permanent collection in addition to dolls borrowed from members of our local community, we celebrate the special bond that exists between doll owners - both the young and the young at heart - and their small charges.

For over a quarter of a century, regional artists of all ages have participated in this popular exhibit that features one original work per artist in a wide range of styles and media.

The Zionsville Village Residents Association and the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce will host an open forum for all local candidates in the May 8th primary election. Take the time to come meet and listen to the people who are running for the positions of Town Council, Clerk, Treasurer & Town Judge.

Limb and Brush Collection
April 16th and 17th

Curbside limb and brush collection will occur in the Village on April 16th and April 17th. You can leave your fallen or pruned trees, limbs and brush at the curbside prior to the morning specified for your area. North/south streets will be picked up on Monday, April 16th. East/west streets will be picked up on Tuesday, April 17th. Limbs must be no larger than 6 inches in diameter, but need not be bundled. They must be manageable by one person. Zionsville Anti-Mini Marathon
Saturday, May 5th 7:25am
No entry fee

This year marks the fifth running of the Anti-Mini (same date and five minutes earlier than the Indy Mini). The event starts at the picnic table next to the parking lot at Nancy Burton Park (on Starkey Road). You may choose to run one loop (3.1 miles), two loops (6.2 miles), 3 loops (9.3 miles) or the whole thing. The course consists of all dirt paths and winds through Nancy Burton Park and Starkey Park.
